An Act relative to "medically necessary" speech therapy for Autism Spectrum disorders.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 32A, section 25 (a) is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
“Medically necessary,” habilitative or rehabilitative care as defined in this chapter includes, but is not limited to: pharmacy care; psychiatric care; psychological care; and therapeutic care, including speech therapy; as well care not enumerated above, as determined by a qualified medical professional.
