An Act expanding collective bargaining rights for legislative branch employees.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 150E of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 10, after the word “executive” the following word:- ", legislative".

SECTION 2. Section 1 of chapter 150E, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting, in line 77, after the word “employees.” the following sentence:-

In the case of employees of the general court, “employer” shall mean the speaker of the house of representatives and the president of the senate or any individual designated by them to represent the general court or act in its interest when dealing with employees.
