Ferguson that the Department of Revenue and the joint committee on Revenue be directed to conduct a study of the revenue impact of the decline of the recreational fishery and striped bass.  Revenue.

An Act relative to a study of loss of revenue due to the decline of the recreational fishery.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The Legislature and Department of Revenue in conjunction with the House and Senate Joint Committee on Revenue shall conduct a study of the decline of the recreational fishery with particular emphasis on the Striped Bass and the concurrent impact on the revenues of the Commonwealth

SECTION 2. Said study shall be completed by December 15, 2013 and forwarded to the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries with recommendations to enhance the revenue generating capacity of the recreational fishery.
