An Act relative to Massachusetts residents serving on active duty in the U.S Armed Forces.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 5A of Chapter 62 of the Massachusetts General Laws is hereby amended by striking out subsection (c) and putting in place thereof the following:-
"(c) In applying this section, any and all residents of the Commonwealth serving in any branch of the United States Armed Forces will be exempt from paying Massachusetts state income tax during their time on active duty.".
