An Act relative to the taxation of state pensions..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1:The first paragraph of section 19 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing on the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence the following sentence:-

"The exemption from income taxes leveled under chapter 62 shall be applicable to the first $50,000 annually".

SECTION 2: This act shall take effect upon passage.
