By Mr. Peterson of Grafton, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2701) of George N. Peterson, Jr. and others that applications pertaining to the taxation of certain open space lands be approved only upon the taxes on such property being paid in full.  Revenue.

An Act relative to the taxation of chapter lands.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 61 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end of the first paragraph the following new sentence “Provided, however, that no such application shall be approved unless taxes on such property have been paid in full.”

SECTION 2. Section 6 of chapter 61A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following new sentence “Provided, however, that no such application shall be approved unless taxes on such property have been paid in full.”

SECTION 3. Section 6 of chapter 61B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following new sentence “Provided, however, that no such application shall be approved unless taxes on such property have been paid in full.”

SECTION 4: This act shall take effect upon its passage.
