An Act relative to special alcohol licenses for nonprofit organizations.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 23 of Chapter 138 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the last paragraph the following paragraph:-

Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, any nonprofit charitable corporations organized under chapter 180 of the General Laws and registered with the public charities division of the office of the attorney general may accept donations of alcoholic beverages from any individual, legally operating manufacturer, wholesaler and/or package store to be served at fundraising events for the benefit of said nonprofit organizations.
