An Act relative to the tree or tree emblem of the Commonwealth.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 2 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out section 8, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 8. The northern red oak (Quercus rubra) shall be the tree or tree emblem of the commonwealth.
