Scibak and others for the annual proclamation by the Governor designating May 4th as PANDAS/PANS Awareness Day, to raise awareness of the occurrence of pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infections and pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome.  State Administration and Regulatory Oversight.

An Act designating PANDAS/PANS Awareness Day.

 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith PANDAS/PANS Awareness Day on May 4th, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after section 15RRRRR, as amended by chapter 276 of the acts of 2012, the following section:-

Section 15SSSSS. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart May 4th as PANDAS/PANS Awareness Day, to raise awareness of the occurrence of pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infections and pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome and recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
