An Act relative to the annual observance of Green Up Day.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after Section 15OOOOO the following section:-
The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the first Saturday in May as Green Up Day, in recognition of our duty to protect the environment,and shall recommend that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
