An Act relative to livery vehicles.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 22 of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting before the first paragraph, the following:-
As used in this section, the following term shall, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, have the following meaning:—
“Black Car”, any limousine or other vehicle which is designed to carry 15 or fewer passengers, including the driver, and carries passengers for hire but is not available for pre-arranged transportation. This definition shall also apply to cars that can only be scheduled using an application on a cellular phone.
SECTION 2. Said section 22 of said chapter 40 of the General Laws is hereby further amended by inserting, in line 6, after the word “vehicles,” the following:- ,including black cars,.
