An Act entitling residents west of 128 to discounted access to the Massachusetts Turnpike.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 10 of chapter 354 of the Acts of 1952 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence:— The Massachusetts Turnpike Authority is hereby directed to develop and institute a program providing discounted toll rates to residents who reside in communities that host any part of the Massachusetts Turnpike west of Route 128, and who participate in the E-ZPass MA program set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, when they use the Massachusetts Turnpike. Such a discount shall be set at a rate which is not less than a ten percent discount off the maximum percentage toll provided by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority to the residents of any other community in the Commonwealth.
