Resolve to reduce traffic on the Massachusetts Turnpike.

 

Resolved, Whereas, Thanksgiving Day is one of the most popular travel days in the United States,

Whereas, High volumes of traffic increase emissions and damage to the environment,

Whereas, Changes in traffic patterns lead to a higher probability of automobile accidents,

Whereas, Stopping to pay tolls increases the density of traffic on highways,

It is resolved that the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will conduct a study of the affects on traffic density by suspending the I-84/Sturbridge toll station on Thanksgiving Day.
