An Act requiring an actuarial study of the MBTA retirement fund.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The Secretary of Administration and Finance is directed to study the operation and performance of the MBTA Retirement Fund, using actuarial methods, comparing the performance of the MBTA Retirement Fund to other American retirement and pension funds, making note of such other oversight issues as may arise during the study. The study is to be completed and submitted to the Speaker of the House and the Senate President; the House and Senate Committees on Ways and Means; the MBTA Board of Directors and the MBTA Advisory Board on or before January 1, 2014.
