An Act validating certain actions taken by an Assistant Tax Collector, in the Town of Weymouth.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
1.Notwithstanding section 39C of Chapter 41 of the General Laws or any other general or special law or charter provision to the contrary, the acts and proceedings taken by Rosemarie Driscoll, Assistant Tax Collector of the Town of Weymouth prior to effective date of this act in signing for the Weymouth Tax Collector, Instruments of taking pursuant to Section 54 of Chapter 60 of the General Laws, and all actions taken pursuant thereto, are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed to the extent as if said Rosemarie Driscoll, Assistant Tax Collector was authorized to sign under the hand and seal of the Tax Collector Instruments of Taking pursuant to Section 54 of chapter 60 of the General Laws;
2.This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
Prior to the act taking effect upon its passage, the General Court may make clerical of editorial changes to the bill and may make other amendments within the scope of the general public objectives of this petition, provided the same are approved by the Mayor prior to enactment and final form by the General Court.
