An Act relative to firearm safety training of military personnel.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 131P of chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after sub-section (a) the following paragraph:-
Any current or former member of the United States military, who has not been prohibited under section 129B of Chapter 140 to own a firearm, and has received adequate training while serving in the military, shall be exempt from being required to submit a basic firearms safety certificate to the licensing authority, upon submitting a copy of their most current military ID.
