In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act relative to the dropout age.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1B of chapter 69 of the general laws, as appearing in 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “attendance”, in line 113, the following words:- ; provided, however, that the board shall allow each local school district to establish the mandatory minimum age that a student is required to attend school if the student has not yet graduated from high school.
