An Act requiring MassDOT to provide notice and mitigation if MassDOT removes trees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
Section 62. No less than 48 hours prior to the cutting or removal of a tree or the performance of any maintenance or work, performed by the department of transportation, that could inconvenience the owners of the land abutting the site of the work, the department shall provide written notice to each of the abutting landowners.
