An Act relative to municipal fees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 40 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
70. A municipality, or agency thereof, may charge a fee in exchange for a service provided that the service benefits the party paying the fee in a manner not shared by other members of society, the party paying the fee has the option of not utilizing the service and the charges are collected to compensate the municipality, or agency thereof, that is providing the services for its expenses.
