Flanagan (with the approval of the mayor and city council) relative to property tax exemptions by certain veteran organizations in the city of Gardner.  Revenue.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act exempting certain real property owned by certain veterans organizations in the city of Gardner from taxation..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.All real property which has been and is currently owned by the Ovila Case Post 905, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Inc. shall be deemed to have been exempt from taxation in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 59, Section 5, clause Fifth B from November 17, 1987 through December 31, 2012.

SECTION 2.All real property which has been and is currently owned by the Gardner Post #129, American Legion, Inc., Department of Massachusetts shall be deemed to have been exempt from taxation in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 59, Section 5, clause Fifth B from November 17, 1987 through December 31, 2012.

SECTION 3.  This act shall not exempt any veteran organization in the City of Gardner from the requirement to file with the assessors the list and statement required by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 59, Section 29.

SECTION 4.This act shall take effect upon its passage.
