In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act authorizing the mayor of the city of Somerville to appoint Sean A. Collier a police officer of the city of Somerville.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding Chapter 31 of the General Laws or other general or special law, the Mayor of Somerville is hereby authorized to posthumously appoint Sean A. Collier, a resident of the City of Somerville at the time of his death, a City of Somerville police officer.

SECTION 2. This act shall be effective upon passage.
