An Act relative to advisory questions on ballots in the city of Newton.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, in the city of Newton a non-binding public opinion advisory question may be placed on the ballot for either a regular or special municipal election in accordance with the procedures established by section 18A of chapter 53 of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
