An Act relative to teacher recertification requirements..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter seventy-one of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is further amended in section 38G, line 196 by deleting “one hundred” and inserting in place thereof, “twenty-five”; and further, by adding a sentence to the paragraph as follows:- “To achieve the goal of establishing a recertification fee that is commensurate with the actual costs of teacher recertification, the department of elementary and secondary education shall provide a public accounting of the costs of carrying out its certification and recertification procedures to the commissioner of administration no later than December 31, 2013.”
