An Act requiring a fluoride statement..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 111 of the General Laws is amended by inserting after section 160 the following section:-
The department of environmental protection shall promulgate regulations requiring that where a public water supply is fluoridated, the relevant community water system will include the following statement in its annual consumer confidence report: Your public water supply is fluoridated. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, if your child under the age of 6 months is exclusively consuming infant formula reconstituted with fluoridated water, there may be an increased chance of dental fluorosis. Consult your child’s health care provider for more information.
