An Act relative to insurance proceeds from property claims in the town of Northborough.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 53 of chapter 44 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, sums not in excess of $150,000 recovered by the town of Northborough under the terms of a fire or physical damage insurance policy and sums not in excess of $150,000 received in restitution by the town of Northborough for damage done to town property may be used by the town for the restoration or replacement of such property without specific appropriation or town meeting action.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
