An Act relative to a hospital merger market impact review.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to forthwith provide for a certain market impact review, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The second paragraph of subsection (a) of section 13 of chapter 6D of the General Laws, as appearing in section 15 of chapter 224 of the acts of 2012, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- The cost and market impact reviews by the commission, as provided for under section 11N of chapter 112, shall be completed within 150 days from the date that the provider or provider organization has submitted notice to the commission.
