An Act relative to achieving pay parity for Massachusetts trial court chief probation officers.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 99B of chapter 276 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking the word “means.” in line 14 and inserting in place the following:

means; provided, however, that the salaries of the chief probation officers of the probate court shall be 81.57 per cent of the salary of the chief justice of said court.  The salaries of the chief probation officers of the Boston municipal court shall be 81.57 per cent of the salary of the chief justice of said court.  The salaries of the chief probation officers of the juvenile court shall be 81.57 per cent of the salary of the chief justice of said court.  The salaries of the chief probation officers of the district court shall be 81.57 per cent of the salary of the chief justice of said court.  The salaries of the chief probation officers of the superior court shall be 81.57 per cent of the chief justice of said court.
