In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act eliminating the preliminary elections in the city of Malden in 2013.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding the charter of the city of Malden or any general or special law to the contrary, there shall be no preliminary election in the city of Malden, as otherwise required on September 17, 2013, for the office of councillor at large for 2 years. The candidates whose nomination papers for this office have been duly certified shall be considered nominated.
