An Act authorizing the town of Dartmouth to establish an enterprise fund..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

An Act authorizing the town of Dartmouth to establish an enterprise fund.

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Dartmouth may establish and maintain a separate account known as a Cable PEG Access Enterprise Fund to be classified and administered as an enterprise fund in accordance with section 53F½ of chapter 44 of the General Laws.  The town shall deposit into the fund the proceeds of any assessment imposed upon cable operators by the requirements of a franchise agreement to support public, educational or governmental channels or the use of such channels.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
