In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act establishing a moratorium for Commonwealth charter schools.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the authority of the board of education to grant commonwealth charters to an applicant pursuant to section 89 of chapter 71 of the General Laws shall be suspended until September 1, 2015.
