An Act relative to school transportation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 7l of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 7C the following section:-
Section 7D. The cost of transportation of a special education student to an out of district public or private institution shall be reimbursed by the department of education; provided, however, that the school system seeking reimbursement is a member of a transportation collaborative; and provided, further, that the private transporter of the child accepts rates of payment for such transportation as determined by said department of education.
