Ordered, the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Ethics shall be granted the power to issue a writ of habeas corpus ad testificandum to secure the attendance of certain necessary and material witnesses in connection with the investigation and evaluation of a complaint received by said Committee on January 15, 2014. The powers granted to the Vice Chair pursuant to this Order shall cease to exist as of February 28, 2014.
Ordered, That, the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Ethics be granted the power to direct the Sergeant-at-Arms, the Chief General Court Officer or the Assistant Chief General Court Officer of the House of Representatives to take custody of and secure any witnesses appearing before the Committee on Ethics for the duration of the Executive Conference pursuant to a writ of habeas corpus ad testificandum issued by the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Ethics.
