An Act relative to junior operator's licenses.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The fifth paragraph of section 8 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-

No person holding a junior operator's license shall operate a motor vehicle between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. unless the person is accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or operating the vehicle as a means of access to or from an organized school event, including athletic events, scheduled by the school, or an organization thereof, wherein the person is actively enrolled as a student.
