An Act authorizing the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance to lease certain property in the town of Tewksbury.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 296 of the Acts of 2006 is hereby amended by striking out section 1 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
Section 1. Notwithstanding chapter 30B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the division of capital asset management and maintenance may lease, in consultation with the department of public health, for a term not to exceed 99 years certain land located in the town of Tewksbury to Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc., a nonprofit corporation formerly known as Tewksbury Hospital Equestrian Farm. The parcel is shown on a plan entitled "Lease Extension Plan of Land in the Town of Tewksbury Middlesex County Owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts” dated April 15, 2014 and prepared by Cuoco Cormier Engineering Associates. The Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc. shall use the property to provide therapeutic equestrian programs for the clients of the Tewksbury Hospital, public riding programs, special events for individuals of all abilities and for such other purposes consistent with the mission of the Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc.
SECTION 2. Said chapter 296 is hereby further amended by striking out the words “Tewksbury Hospital Equestrian Farm”, each time they appear in sections 2,4 and 5, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc.
