Coppinger (with the approval of the mayor and city council) that the city of Boston be authorized to issue certain licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages in said city.  Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the city of Boston to grant 6 additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the local licensing authority of the city of Boston may grant the following additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises pursuant to section 12 of chapter 138 to: Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center, Inc. located at Boston Harbor Islands National Park Area; the Commonwealth Lodge #19 located at the West End House, 105 Allston Street; the Massachusetts Association of Minority Law Enforcement Officers, Inc. located at 61 Columbia Road; the Mt. Pleasant Knights of Columbus located at 5250 Washington Street; the Monserrat Aspirers, Inc. located at 358 Washington Street; Skating Club of Boston located at 1240 Soldiers Field Rd, Brighton, MA 02135; the Syria Temple #31 located at 1 Darlington Street and the Brighton Knights of Columbus located at 323 Washington Street in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. The licenses shall be subject to all of said chapter 138 except said section 17.

The licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of the license to any other location or any other person, corporation, or organization. All licenses issued pursuant to this act shall be clearly marked “nontransferable” on the face of the license.

If the license granted under this section is cancelled, revoked or no longer in use at the location of original issuance, it shall be returned physically, with all of the legal rights, privileges and restrictions pertaining thereto, to the licensing authority. Any license issued pursuant to this act which is returned to the licensing authority may not be reissued.

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
