An Act relative to special police officers in the town of Norwood.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 81 of the acts of 2010 is hereby amended by striking out the second sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- A special police officer appointed pursuant to this act shall not be subject to the maximum age restrictions applied to regular police officers under chapter 32 of the General Laws; provided, however, a special police officer shall not serve past the last day of the month in which he or she attains age 70.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
