An Act relative to non-public school student access to the MCAS exam.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1I of Chapter 69 of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 2 of chapter 131 of the acts of 2012, is hereby further amended by inserting, after the 13th paragraph, the following new paragraph:-
A student in a non-public school in the commonwealth may elect to take the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System exam. The cost of administering the exam to such students shall be borne by the student.
