In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act modifying the school breakfast program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1G of chapter 15 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is amended by striking out, in lines 145-146, the words “in schools in which a majority of children are program eligible” and, in line 146, the word “eighty” and inserting in place thereof the word: -

Section 1G(f) of said chapter 15 is amended by inserting, in line 186, after the word “year;” the following words:-
nutritional information of the meals and compliance with federal and state nutritional standards; linkages between student achievement data and meal program participation; amount of food wasted, due to nonparticipation or otherwise; criticisms or concerns from parents and local school staff;….
Section 1G(f) of said chapter 15 is further amended by inserting, in line 178, after the word “humanities” the following:-
and the committee on children, families, and persons with disabilities….
Section 1C of chapter 69 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is amended by striking out, in lines 20-21, the words “which draw their attendance from areas with a high number of needy children, as defined by the board,”.
