In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act relative to competitive cheerleading safety.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 54A of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “every interscholastic football game” and before the words “played by any team representing a public secondary school” the following words:-
and competitive cheerleading competition
SECTION 2. Section 54A of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by inserting after the words “such football game is played” the following words:-
or competitive cheerleading competition is held.
