An Act relative to the composition of the citizens advisory committee for the former Northampton State Hospital.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 7 of chapter 86 of the acts of 1994 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following 2 sentences:-

There shall be established a Northampton state hospital citizens advisory committee, hereinafter referred to as the committee, consisting of not more than15 members appointed by the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance, in consultation with state and local officials.  The commission shall include the mayor of the city of Northampton; the ward 2 city councilor; 2 representatives of the national alliance for the mentally ill of western Massachusetts; 2 representatives of the greater Northampton chamber of commerce; a representative from each of the following neighborhoods: route 66, grove street, route 10 and village hill; and 1 representative from each of the following organizations: the Northampton office of the department of mental health, the Northampton redevelopment corporation, the Northampton labor council, the Northampton housing partnership and the Northampton planning board.
