By Representative Durant of Spencer and Senator Richard T. Moore, a joint petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Peter J. Durant and Richard T. Moore for legislation to establish a sick leave bank for Lisa Renaud, an employee of the Department of Correction.  Public Service.

An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Lisa Renaud, an employee of the Massachusetts Department of Correction.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the MAssachusetts Department of Correction shall establish a sick leave bank for Lisa Renaud, an employee of the department. Said Lisa Renaud shall exhaust all of her sick, vacation, personal, and compensation time, before using any of the time donated to said sick bank. Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Lisa Renaud. Sick leave bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department. Whenever Lisa Renaud terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.
