An Act relative to limiting contributions to ballot question committees.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 7A of chapter 55 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the words, in lines 17 and 18 “without limitation to ballot question committees” and inserting in place thereof the following words: up to $500 to ballot question committees in support or opposition of each question submitted to the voters.

SECTION 2. Section 8 of chapter 55 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the second paragraph the following words:- Such corporations or such holders of stock may make contributions totaling up to $500 to ballot question committees in support or opposition of each question submitted to the voters.
