An Act relative to annual training of local election officials.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 51 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 17 the following section:-
Section 17A. In each municipality, the city or town clerk and the election director shall attend annual training conducted by the office of the state secretary on applicable state and federal election laws and regulations. Upon completion of the training, they shall inform the board of registrars and election commissioners.
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
