An Act relative to special elections for senator and representative in Congress.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 10 of Chapter 53 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out in the third sentence the word “sixth” and inserting in place thereof the following word: - ”tenth”.

SECTION 2.  Section 28 of Chapter 53 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out in the first sentence the word “sixth” and inserting in place thereof the following word: - ”tenth”.

SECTION 3.  Section 48 of Chapter 53 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out in the fifth sentence the word “fifth” and inserting in place thereof the following word:- “tenth”.

SECTION 4.  Section 140 of Chapter 54 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out in the second sentence the numeral “160” and inserting in place thereof the following numeral: - “195”.

SECTION 5.  Section 140 of Chapter 54 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out in the second sentence the numeral “145” and inserting in place thereof the following numeral: - “180”.
