In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act relative to preservation of areas designated areas of critical concern.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 40 A of Chapter 131 of the General Laws is hereby amended as follows:
1. By inserting after the word "fisheries" the following language "areas designated by the Commonwealth or its agencies or subdivisions thereof, core habitats, or conservation concerns, and/or critical natural landscape;
2. By inserting after the word "regulating" the following word "permit";
3. By inserting after the word "removing" the following word "develop"; and,
4. By inserting after the word "encroachment" the following language "improvements subject to comprehensive permit pursuant to Chapter 40 B of the General Laws"
