An Act relative to encouraging volunteerism for non-profit organizations providing transportation options for seniors.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  General Laws Chapter 175, Section 113B, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding after the fifth paragraph the following paragraph:

In fixing and establishing classifications of risks, the commissioner shall not group risks attributable to transportation by any volunteer driver otherwise licensed in accordance with the provisons of Chapter 90 of the General Laws who is providing such volunteer services at the direction of a charitable organization organized pursuant to General Laws Chapter 180 where a primay purpose of such charitable organization is the transportation of individuals over the age of sixty or individuals with disabilities.
