An Act relative to regional ratepayer costs.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 209 of the Acts of 2012 is hereby amended by inserting after Section 59 the following section:-
Section 60. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, the commonwealth shall not enter into, or require a distribution company located within the commonwealth to enter into, a regional power purchasing agreement for electric generation services with another state that imposes an electric generation tax on in-state generation facilities that supply electricity to the regional bulk power grid.
