An Act relative to the Lance Corporal Andrew J. Zabierek Memorial Bridge In the town of Chelmsford.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1 The department of highways shall place four signs, one on the north bound side of Route 495 and one on the south bound side of Route 495, and one on either side of the bridge on Route 4, in the town of Chelmsford, at the location of the bridge designated as the “Lance Corporal Andrew J. Zabierek Memorial Bridge”, named in memory of Lance Corporal Andrew J. Zabierek who was killed in action in Iraq on May 21, 2001 while in the service of the United States and who was awarded the Military Order of the Purple Heart posthumously. Said signs visible on Route 495 in both directions shall be attached to the bridge.
Said signs shall include the following, “Lance Corporal Andrew J. Zabierek Memorial Bridge”, “Purple Heart” and the Purple Heart emblem and seal of the commonwealth.
