An Act relative to liability insurance for licensed site professionals.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 21A, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 19J the following section:-

Section 19K.  Mandatory Liability Insurance.  Any professional licensed by the Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals as an authorized hazardous waste site cleanup professional must carry liability insurance in an amount no less than $100,000. The Board shall suspend any hazardous waste site cleanup professional operating without liability insurance until the professional is covered by liability insurance.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect January 1, 2015.
