An Act relative to patient notification.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 25P the following section:-
Section 25Q. Any person admitted for inpatient care at a medical facility and prescribed or administered any medication, shall be given an information sheet detailing each medication’s prescribed use and potential side effects. Such information sheet shall be signed and dated by the patient or health care proxy.
